In Our Wake By The Spooky Moon ( Original Song )

Here is a song I wrote that is featured on my album Temples and Pyramids from October 2013.

This song is a little pop song & I think really defines the direction of the entire album. Lyrically the song is about moving forward in life and not dwelling in the past in a way that is not self destructive. Musically it reminds you of the later years of The Beatles.

Thanks for listening:

My Opinion about The Needle Drops video Titled "It Came from Bandcamp!"

I was on twitter... like I always am in the morning and I came across this image The Needle Drop posted.

I would have to totally agree with whom ever emailed this message to him. The Needle Drop is in a position where he can shine light onto artists that have little to no name for them selves and possible good things can happen to that artist. Instead he digs up the worse junk on Bandcamp.com and tells the world about it. Why not do something useful and show people good bands? Additionally not all bandcamp.com bands suck. I personally have found some great bands and I must say the great music might be a lot harder to find because they are using common search tags such as "RocknRoll" and "RapMusic". I would also have to add from my own experience that I do think a lot of the bands on bandcamp.com are either quite generic sounding or not worthy of being recognized.

A lot of major labels use bandcamp.com to help sell there albums. Bandcamp.com is just another way for artist to get there music out there along side other sites such as, ITunes and digital music streaming services such as Spotify.

I for the most part enjoy The Needle Drops video and find them for the most part entertaining. This It came from bandcamp video really struck a negative chord with me. Here is a link the The Needle Drops IT CAME FROM BANDCAMP video.

Additionally again!!!

Here is a list of Nine bands that I have found on bandcamp that I think are worth attention. They might not be what you are looking for musically, but I my opinon they are not crappy meme worthy artists. These artist take time and craft interesting one of kind original music.

Smugglers Bounty Cantina Box.

So today I received my first Smugglers Bounty Box and it's a box of cool Star Wars stuff from Funko. I was really hoping for the Blue Snaggle Tooth, but it is a random thing so you can't expect to win every time. I also got the Han Solo shirt, which is the shirt I wanted the least of the four shirts. The three other shirts had aliens on them and I would have been happier with any of them. I am still very happy with everything over all. The Obi Wan Kenobi is really cool, I like how it is not your standard stance holding a light saber.

I am looking forward to the next box in two months.

Cheers:

Le Butcherettes - Masquerade - Atlanta - March 15th, 2016

On March 15th I went to see The Le Butcherettes and up until two weeks ago I had never heard of them. How I discovered them was on complete accident and I forget what I was watching on YouTube, but YouTube has this auto play feature and I was doing something else online and was just listening to an interview and the auto play feature went to an interview with Teri Gender Bender and I was impressed by her self expression of her music and just her personality and character really captured me. So I liked the video and my Twitter account is connected to my YouTube account and then a day or two later I got a like and a follow from the Le Butcherettes Twitter account. I then followed her back and went to http://lebutcherettes.net/ and learned they were on tour in about two weeks time and I then bought my ticket and attended the concert at the Masqerade in Atlanta.

I then started listening to them on Spotify and I was even more impressed. Her music reminded me of Bikini Kill with a bit of an 80s punk vibe. It is just not straight puck rock, her songs have more then three chords and she has an ear for melody, which is quite rare in this day and age. I love her powerful voice as well as her range. It is like each song has its own character that has its own persona that pours out of her as the songs progress. She also has an amazing stage presents. She is moving around and making facial expressions and totally feeling the music and is very much "in the moment" as one might say. She is just not up there performing one song after another, she is very expressive in her own way and I love it!

Seeing The Le Butcherettes was very inspiring to me. It hard to put it into words because a lot of it is an emotional reaction that I find very good overall. If you ever get a moment, look up interviews with Teri Gender Bender on YouTube. She has an amazing personality and a spirit in her soul that makes you just want to like her. If they ever come to Atlanta again, I will be attending again and I am looking forward to whatever they release in the future.

I filmed the entire show witch is a little over an hour. I split the video into 3 parts, Part 1 and Part 2 are about 30 mins in length and Part 3 is under 10 mins. The video are listen below.

Ghostly Light & Recent Nice Comments.

Here is a version of one of my newer songs called Ghostly Light. It will be featured on my October 2016 album. I am trying something new in this video, by playing a bass drum along with my guitar and voice. I think it sounds cool and I will be inputting this drum feature into my live performances.

Also this morning I received some nice comments about this song and I will be sharing the comments below.

New Ghost song / Album in October 2016.

I am working on more songs, slowly. I am not as quick with creativity as I use to be when I was in my 20's. I wish this music thing was my full time job, because I would not disappoint fans, if I had fans. This song is going to be on an Halloween themed album I plan to release in October 2016! I want to release two digital albums this year. I have talked about this on my twitter, but not in a blog like this one as of yet. Anyway enjoy the song!
