NASA RECEIVED AN SOS CALL FROM ANOTHER GALAXY?

Image
I think information like this is fascinating. I am not sure if it true or not, but I want to believe it is true. Below is the text that is in this video. "NASA detected, intercepted, and decoded a mathematically-based distress signal from a purportedly doomed planetoid outside our own galaxy. The signal was detected in January of 1998 but, however and as it might be expected, it took many years to properly decode the message. NASA experts claim to have intercepted an intergalactic distress call from an alien civilization that had already peaked and was actually dying when saber-tooth tigers still roamed the earth. The 80,000-year-old SOS was received and digitally recorded in late January 1998. But only in 2011 have radio astronomers and language experts found the key to the complex mathematics-based language that enabled them to translate the 'frantic plea for help'. The world press has been suspiciously silent about the startling message, though le

Green Bean Go! - April 13, 2002. Apartment Show - Athens Georgia.

I don't remember much from this show and I am not sure why we switched around so much on instruments. There was always a lot of talking between songs from what I do remember, mainly because music practice always happened maybe an hour or two prior the show. In this photo I know were trying to play, Eye of the Tiger. I remember we practiced figuring out the song, by listening to the recording upstairs for maybe 15 mins. Javier is on the drums in this photo, he is a multi-instrumentalist and just recently made an appearance on the Late Show playing sax with Deerhunter. Matt the guy on the left wrote a lot of songs in Green Bean Go & I was rarely involved. Julie would sing the lyrics. Travis the guy on drums would also write songs. This was most likely one of maybe two times I played with Green Bean Go. These photos were taken by Addison Godel.

Only 4 Albums on my Bandcamp now / Less Confusing.

I had to remove about 30 albums and singles from my bandcamp page due to the amount of plays I was getting of songs I wrote and recorded over 10 years ago. I did this because I would rather have people hear my newer songs. Currently their are 4 albums up on my bandcamp. I know bandcamp is not preferred by music listeners but it is a good place for an artist to track and listen to their own work if need be. I have taken a screen shot of the one weeks worth of listen data. Magma is the only song with a full listen and is one of the first songs I recorded and its is of horrible quality. I personally have not listened to this song in maybe 3 years. I should have stream lined my bandcamp a lot time ago. I know I have about 4 real fans out there, so maybe it was one of my fans, however now they have no other option but to hear my most recent recordings. Thank you for reading this useless rant: Ryan of The Spook Moon.

Celeste - Donovan ( Cover )

I once met Donovan in 2006 I want to say. It was for a show he did at a college at Ohio State University. He played all his hit songs from what I remember. After the show, pictured above I got to meet him. It was brief, but he left a huge impression on me and my music. The song I chose to cover is one a band I was in use to perform live. I think we only performed it once or twice, but I found the melody and chord changes to be fascinating.

My Friend on Stephen Colbert

Image
A friend of mine played on the Late Show last night. He is the sax player in the video above. SPIN magazine wrote a little review about this performance and referred to his playing as giddy. I disagree, I personally think he stole the show, even more so then the singers. Here is the SPIN review : http://www.spin.com/2016/05/deerhunter-fading-frontier-late-show-with-stephen-colbert-watch-listen/
